Well it doesn't get much better than this! We took Hattie to a local schooling show this weekend and she rose to the occasion; scoring 70+ percent on both of her tests. The judge loved her and even gave her an 8.5 for gaits! Pretty impressive for her first time in a dressage arena in about two years.
And not only did she win with a 74%, but she also handled the atmosphere like a seasoned professional. She stood on the trailer all day, stood tied to be tacked up, required very little warmup (I was running behind coaching a student), and did all the things expected of her. She gained quite the fan club!
If not snatched up, she will move up to 1st level her next time out.
