Va Lida is a 2021, 16'2+ hand, Westfalen mare who we can't say enough good things about! She has three quality gaits, a lovely natural balance, and a kind demeanor.
Lida had 60 days under saddle with a professional in March of 2024. She then went back to her adult amateur owner where she was bred. During that time she was ridden lightly and hacked out. Her baby was weaned at the end of November and her owner did basic groundwork and lounging in tack until she was shipped to our program last week. Well.... I misunderstood her owner and thought she was back in work.... So my team got right on her (in the snow) and let's just say she hasn't missed a beat! She is lovely! We are seriously impressed. While understandably green for her age, she should come along quite quickly.
Lida is a half sister (same dam) to one of my all time favorite client horses who I currently compete at Training level and whose AA owner is taking him novice. With a similar brain, this mare is going to be extremely rewarding to produce.
Sound and happy barefoot. Lida is an easy keeper.
