Muffin is a 10 y/o 16h Unraced Thoroughbred mare offered due to her owner moving away. A little bit about her history: Her owner purchased her in 2020 and has done much with her over the years, although she has been turned out for about 4 months and out of work as her owner is preparing to move. She is a great riding horse and has foxhunted 3 1/2 seasons with a variety of different hunt clubs. Muffin has hunted with Belle Meade in Thompson GA for Hunt Week and opening meet. She has been to various hunter paces. This mare has stable ground manners and clips, crossties, and stands for vet and farrier. Traffic safe. No biting, kicking etc. Great on trails in group or alone. Goes out in a mixed herd and keeps weight great.She is sound but needs maintenance mostly just keeping her shod and upkeep. She honestly doesn't have the best feet but with consistency she stays sound. Her eyes becomes cloudy from time to time. After a while it clears back up. The vet has provisionally diagnosed her with uvitis. Her owner has been treating it over the years with help from the vet. She can still see but it does get noticeably cloudy from time to time. When it is clear she has no trouble being ridden.She would also make a wonderful broodmare or companion for someone not interested in riding. Unfortunately since her owner is moving she no longer has the means to care for her and finding her a good home is more important than money. We are looking for a suitable home for this sweet mare, Only considering the best of homes.
